Corstorphine & Wright were appointed by McCarthy Stone to develop a new range of affordable Retirement Living developments.
These developments target areas in the country where lower property values prevent elderly residents from downsizing into their standard product range.
Through the use of efficient & standardised flat design, the architects have developed compact, open plan modular units that provide 51 units ‘L’ shaped apartment blocks that are created from a simple kit of parts.
Focusing on numerous MMC strategies, we have been able to reduce the over construction period by up to 30%, make significant reductions in onsite waste materials and achieve targets of 10-15% reduced build costs when compared to traditional construction methods.
