The judging for the 2022 Yorkshire Property Industry Awards has taken place and we are excited to share that Corstorphine & Wright has been shortlisted in the ‘Architectural Practice of the Year’ category.
Corstorphine & Wright, which was the winner of the Commercial Architectural Practice category at the Northern Design Awards in 2020 has a Yorkshire studio based in central Leeds which has seen excellent growth in the Yorkshire region over the past few years. From the formation of the Leeds studio in the city centre to working on major schemes, we’re proud to work in and contribute to Yorkshire communities.
Projects in the region that are hitting headlines include the recently opened Playhive – an innovative children’s Indoor play facility at the famous Stockeld Park. We are also behind the design for the former House of Fraser in Briggate which has been given consent to be granted planning and redeveloped into The Store House, a high end student living offering. Skelton Lake Services located on the M1 Junction 45 which provides tranquil rest and play areas alongside amenities, fuelling and electric vehicle charging was completed by Corstorphine & Wright a couple of years ago. More recently we transformed Temple House, in Seacroft into a new state of the art £1.4m veterinary practice in Leeds for Beechwood Veterinary Group.
The whole practice is extremely proud to be shortlisted for this award and the shortlisting is a testament not only to our Leeds studio but all our team who are working on projects in the region.
Thank you to the Insider judges and fingers crossed for the dinner and awards evening which takes place on the 22nd September at New Dock Hall, Leeds.
