Rav Kumar appointed to RIBA Principal Designer Register

Corstorphine & Wright is thrilled to announce that Rav Kumar, our Birmingham Director, has successfully qualified to enrol on the RIBA Principal Designer Register for Higher-Risk Buildings.

This achievement marks a significant milestone in our commitment to delivering exceptional design and ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act, as informed by the Hackitt report.

The RIBA Principal Designer Register stands as the first professional industry register to align with the competence criteria requirements outlined in PAS 8673:2022. This alignment underscores the importance of knowledge, skills, experience, and behaviour in the design and construction industry.

The Building Safety Act requires that clients must appoint a designer who possesses control over the design work and ensures their Principal Designer is competent and capable of fulfilling their legal obligations.
