We are delighted to announce that the Upper Trinity Street cultural, commercial and residential scheme in Digbeth, Birmingham has been given the green light by Birmingham City Council in a unanimous decision.
Designed by Corstorphine & Wright for our client Cole Waterhouse, Upper Trinity Street is being developed with planning consultancy Barton Willmore and the Canal & River Trust.
With sustainability at its core, the scheme will include 943 new homes, some with live-work space and roof gardens, a 133-bedroom hotel, 60,000 sq ft of flexible commercial space, car parking and large new areas of public realm across a network of landscaped yards, squares and hidden spaces.
Regularly featured on lists of the coolest neighbourhoods in the UK, Digbeth has grown to be a cultural and entertainment hub in the West Midlands. Upper Trinity Street will work in unison with its rich heritage and in line with the council’s ‘Digbeth Masterplan’. Corstorphine & Wright are proud to collaborate on this project and enhance what people love about Digbeth.
Work is expected to start in Summer 2022 and the first phases completing in 2025.
