Brixham Road, Old Trafford Approved at Planning Committee

Corstorphine & Wright is thrilled to announce that our latest residential-led scheme for YC Property Group has received unanimous approval from the Trafford Planning Committee.

The residential-led, mixed-use scheme involves transforming a former light industrial site into a vibrant residential community with 145 new homes. This includes 22 houses and 123 apartments, with 40% of these homes being affordable. A key feature of our development is the emphasis on landscaping, which offers a mix of private, semi-private, and shared spaces. This plan achieves a 61% Biodiversity Net Gain.

Our architectural approach draws inspiration from the area’s rich industrial heritage. We are recreating communal spaces that foster a sense of ownership and community. The design includes red brick facades and corten steel elements, with a focus on creating a cohesive residential environment.

Our team undertook extensive community engagement as part of this project. We held virtual meetings and drop-in consultations with local councillors and community members. Feedback from these sessions has been invaluable in shaping our final proposals.
