A New Mixed-Use Development Approved for the Wood Green Community

Planning has been granted in London for a new scheme in Wood Green that prioritises creating a strong sense of place-making and a development which everyone can enjoy.

Working with clients Fusion and Tri7, our intention for Lordship Lane is to integrate a mixed-use community of residents, students, and businesses into a thriving edge-of-town centre hub with a unique character.

At the heart of the development are 78 high-quality affordable homes that respond to the needs of Haringey, including large 5-bed family homes for social rent. There will also be managed student accommodation consisting of 636 beds, alleviating pressure on existing properties within the borough, which can then be brought back to traditional residential use.

Alongside the residential aspects of the scheme, flexible commercial space has been seamlessly integrated, offering economic and employment opportunities. The flexibility achieved here has been designed to accommodate a wide range of uses, from a food hall to managed workspaces, ensuring adaptability and sustainability in years to come.

Stitching together the entire site is a landscaped public realm that Wood Green residents and visitors can enjoy, significantly improving the site’s biodiversity and urban greening factor.
