Two new museums have been announced to join the Upper Trinity Street cultural, commercial and residential scheme in Digbeth, which Corstorphine & Wright is working on with our client Cole Waterhouse and collaborating with planning consultancy Barton Willmore and the Canal & River Trust.
The Museum of Youth Culture will celebrate the rich tapestry of social movements, subcultures, sounds and styles that span the generations and genres from post-war to modern-day Britain.
Alongside this, Birmingham’s rich music history will be showcased in a permanent exhibition of the Birmingham Music Archive. Visitors will experience the stories, places and spaces that have contributed to the music scene of Birmingham.
Both museums will share a 6,500 sq.ft space that fronts Pump House Park, named after the former Victorian Pump House which is being preserved and restored.
These spaces are due to open in Autumn 2025. Keep an eye out on the Corstorphine & Wright website for news and updates on this, and all our other incredible projects.
