Congratulations then to James Campbell who passed his Part 3 assessment this month. We asked James a few questions about assessment in lockdown and what inspired him to begin his training.
What was it like to complete your assessment during a global pandemic and national lockdown?
Although not ideal, with being unable to meet tutors and study groups in person, the reduced amount of time commuting meant I had additional time in the evenings to revise and work on my submission.
What inspired you to train as an architect?
I wanted to go into a profession with tangible outcomes and results.
What projects are you currently working on?
I’ve recently finished working on a Battery Development Facility for UKBIC and I’m currently working on the detailed design package for the Grafton Hotel in Cambridge.
Do you have any advice for others preparing to take their Part 3 assessment?
If your course puts you in a study group be sure to be proactively involved as not everyone has the same experience in practice and they can be a useful resource.
