We’re excited to announce the opening of our new Darlington office, which sees Niven Architects join Corstorphine + Wright, and will support our growing portfolio of work in the North & North East.
Located in Business Central in Darlington, the office is headed by Simon Crowe and is supported by his team of James Anderson, Liam Needham, Stephen Abbott, Paul Atkinson, Karen Crowe, Denise Percival, David Hardcastle, Matthew Layford and Andrew Brown.
Niven Architects has been established for over 35 years. It has developed from a small, locally focused practice into one with projects across the country. During this time, they’ve acquired a reputation for providing high quality professional architectural services underscored by creative design solutions and supported by leading edge digital technologies through its sister company, BIM Strategy.
Simon Crowe said:
For me, the most important aspect of this merger is that the two companies share the same fundamental principles. Niven and Corstorphine + Wright understand architecture is about more than an individual building. We share a business ethos which means we deliver buildings which are not only cutting edge in design, but are commercially sound, deliverable and provide lasting results for their clients.
The timing of the merger is excellent. It enables us to take the practice to the next stage of its development and represents a fantastic opportunity for the business to grow and flourish as we strengthen our presence in the North East at an exciting time for the region. Most importantly, it enables us to utilise the resources and specialisms of one of the country’s top Architectural Practices to provide our clients with an enhanced level of service.”
Paul Thrussell, Director, continued:
We’re delighted to welcome Niven Architects to Corstorphine + Wright. The Niven team bring with them valuable expertise and exciting talent along with broad sector coverage. This continues our strategy to expand our UK coverage and, with the level of development activity currently taking place in the North and North East, it represents a great opportunity for us.
We are looking forward to working with the team in Darlington and collaborating on some fantastic schemes that we are currently driving forward”.
