Corstorphine & Wright’s director of Urban Design, Jonathan Tarbatt, has been selected to join the Design South East Expert Panel.
Design South East is an independent, not-for-profit organisation working across London and the wider south east, delivering expert design advice, facilitation and training for local authorities, the development sector and communities.
Members of their expert panel offer industry leading design review, which for many local authorities has become an integral part of the design management and planning control processes. It is identified in the National Planning Policy Framework as a key tool to improve the quality of design outcomes in the built environment.
With over 25 years’ experience and a particular focus on large-scale masterplanning, regeneration and placemaking, Jonathan is a well-respected urban designer, architect, town planner and accomplished author. The depth and breadth of his experience and education in these three disciplines, together with his background in urban geography and sociology, has given him a multi-disciplinary perspective and a unique level of expertise in the built environment.
Following a popular and competitive application process, his appointment to the Design South East Expert Panel further reinforces his position as an industry leading practitioner in the field of urban design. Well done, Jonathan!
